Community, sport and competition, everyone can play basketball - it is easier than you think. Bring your fellow students and play some baskeball at the pitch between building B and C.
On campus, you can easily and quickly fix your bike. If you go left at the bottom of the stairs by the main entrance you will find a small repair place for bikes where you have access to oil, a pump and water.
In the contemplation room you get the opportunity to relax. E.g., you can use the room for meditation, contemplation or reflection. Find the contemplation room in building A on third floor by the rotunda in room 3.058.
At the board hanging on the wall outside of the contemplation room, you can book the room in advance but you can also just turn up and see if the red light above the door is on. If it is on the room is occupied. The light will turn on and off automatically.
Be aware that the contemplation room is not intended for group work.
Are you crazy about music? Crazy about moving your body? And do you enjoy meeting other students in a relaxed environment?
On campus in Copenhagen you can join a dance club. Members are dancing to have fun in a safe dancing environment. This means that everyone who feel like dancing and having fun kan join in.
Become a member of AAU Fitness for the cost of 99 DKK per month. The fitness center is located on the ground floor of building A, room 0.067. Here, you have the opportunity to do some cardio or strenght workout. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day and is unstaffed.
Registration
- Download the app Mywellness for free in Apple Store/Google Play.
- Make a profile, and if neccessary use the code 'aaukbh'. The language in the app will follow the language your phone is set up to use.
- Choose "Buy membership", and book the membership: 'Membership monthly fee: 99 DKK (tax included)'.
To gain access to the fitness center you have to go to Facility Support on ground floor at campus and show documentation of your active membership and ask them to activate your AAUcard. Questions regarding access to fitness should be directed to the building officers at campusserviceCPH@cph.aau.dk
Remember that the membership only applies to you personally - you must not admit others who are not members of the gym. Violation of this will result in cancellation of your membership.
All fitness training is carried out at your own risk, and it is the responsibility of users of the fitness room to clean up after themselves. Since there is no supervisor at the training room, we strongly advise that you always exercise with a trusted acquaintance.
The fitness center is run on campus by the company Health Group. Questions about the fitness center should be directed to info@healthgroup.dk
You can find changing facilities on the ground floor.
Termination of membership
If you wish to terminate your membership go to the Mywellness app under Profile, My subscriptions, Subscription cancellation. Alternativly you can send an email to info@healthgroup.dk with your personal information.
Remember that your membership is NOT automatically terminated when you are no longer a student at AAU. You must make sure to terminate it yourself. There is a three-month notice period.
On campus in Copenhagen the student driven friday bar is called Slusen. This is the place where students meet up to drink a beer or a soda, play games and meet each other across study programmes. The bartenders are from different semestres and study programmes and Slusen is open every friday. You can find Slusen in the small canteen in building B.
Slusen organise theme bars, beerpong turnaments, tender events and much more. If you have an awesome idea for an event, a drink or have great DJ skills you can join Slusen as a volenteer.

AAU Kayak is a club for all students and employees at Aalborg University in Copenhagen and it is a great opportunity to exploit the great location by Copenhagen habour.
If you want to kayak it is required that you have a IPP2 certificate and that you follow the safety rules of the club. You have to show your certificate to be able to borrow the kayaks.
Contact the club at aau.kajak.cph@gmail.com to become a member - it costs 200 DKK. a year. Members can borrow the kayaks for free.

Make use of the massage arrangement on campus that is arranged in collaboration with the company Ziva Therapies of Maria Gøtze. Maria offers massage, acupuncture and workshops.

The prices of treatments on campus
- 30 minutes: 250 DKK (one focus area, e.g. neck, shoulder, smoking cessation or exam anxiety)
- 60 miniutes: 450 DKK (two focus areas, e.g. neck, shoulder, lower back, hormone system, digestion or allergy)
- 90 minutes: 600 DKK (whole body or addiction treatment)
Time and place
On campus every Monday from 7.30 to 15.00.
The massage takes place in building C in room 0.19A (ground floor).

Booking
You can book an appointment via SMS at +45 5360 0560 or via mail at zivatherapies@gmail.com.
You can also book via the online booking system where you have the opportunity to move your booked appointments as well.
If you need to cancel your appointment this should be done no later than 16.00 on the day before the appointment by texting +45 5360 0560. However, it is much preferred if the cancellation takes places 24 hours prior to the appointment.
Maria Gøtze is RAB (registered alternative therapist) approved by the Danish Patient Safety Authority in both massage and acupuncture. This means that it is possible to get a grant from health insurance, e.g. if you are a member of Sygeforsikringen "danmark" (the Health Insurance "denmark").
Besides massage and acupuncture, Ziva Therapies also offers workshops with breathing exercises to help calm you down before and after an exam or other similar situations, as well as the exercises can help increase your level of energy prior to an exam or important meeting. The workshop is a weekly event and costs 25 DKK per person (a minimum of 10 participants is necessary). Do you need a break from your books and group rooms? Then you can go to the student room called The Mirror Room. Here, you can find table tennis, table football, couches, music center etc. The room is for all students and everyone should feel comfortable being in thee, so show regard for others and clean up after yourself.
Find the room on ground floor in building A in room 0.042. You can take the stairs or elevator from the large canteen.
Is there really a sauna on campus? Yes, and you can find it on ground floor in building A in connection with the bathing area in the changing rooms. As a student you can use the sauna for free and at your own risk.
In the changing rooms you will find lockers which you can access by finding an unlocked, free locker. Make your own code and the locker is yours. Be aware that you need your own lock for the lockers that are placed in the hallways outside the changing rooms.
In Copenhagen, Aalborg University has their own soccer club which is established by football committed students. The soccer club is named Sydhavn FF and if you have any questions or want to join you can contact them in their Facebook group Sydhavn FF
Exploit the location of campus and install yourself by the beautiful waterfront. Here, you can eat your lunch, drink a coffee in the afternoon or brainstorm on your next great project idea.
The Wednesday café on campus is called Kaffepletten and is a café for all students. Every Wednesday you can meet your fellow students for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake, a chat or play a board game in a study free zone.
Kaffepletten serves homemade goodies and fresh brewed coffee every Wednesday from around 12.30 - 16.00 at Studentertorvet in building B (Frederikskaj 12).
