Study Environment Day 2025 in Copenhagen
The active study environment

What was on the programme?
Professor Lene Tolstrup Sørensen kicked off the day by welcoming everyone to this year's Study Environment Day focusing on the active study environment.
Psychologist and PhD Fellow Jonathan Kolding Karnøe hosted the workshop Game up your collaboration, which examined the ways in which board games and collaboration can be combined and facilitate the processes of group work. The workshop covered both the theoretical and the practical, as the attendees themselves got to try it out via a couple of rounds of card games.
Study Environment Coordinator Sofie T. Hyllested wrapped up the workshop and presented current campus plans, after which it was time for a quick break with coffee and cake before the day continued with presentations from the student associations.
Six student associations from AAU in Copenhagen (AAU Kayak, AMPED, PULS, Sydhavn FF, Syd RunClub, and underTone) shared their insights and perspectives on how students can help inspire, grow, and motivate their fellow students create an active study environment.

Workshop: Game up your collaboration
In this practice-based workshop we will combine board game and collaboration. Board games can be a great step in the process of formulating group contracts and plan, negotiate and clarify your expectations to the projects and each other. We will both look in to theoretical perspectives on collaboration – and I bet we will also have time for a game or two.
