What does Problem Based Learning (PBL) mean?

AAU’s programmes are characterized by problem based project work. This means that as a student, you focus on a specific issue (or problem) and together with your project group you work on investigating, analyzing, understanding and solving the issue. Throughout this process, you will apply theories and methods from your academic field of study, creating new knowledge that can be translated into practice.

The benefits of this learning approach

This learning method equips you with the ability to apply theory and methodology to identify, analyze, address and solve real-world problems. Additionally, you develop collaborative skills from working with your fellow students and sometimes external partners.
