What are some of the factors that challenge many students' engagement in the study environment? How can we work with them together? And how do you and we create the best possible study environment for you and your fellow students?

At the workshop, you will be presented with a range of understandings of what is at stake for many students when you have to settle into your study programme. By understanding what can be stressful for the student community, we can then find solutions for what is needed from various approaches to make it easier to become part of the community.

What is a safe space for you? And how can we create more safe spaces on campus that can contribute to increasing well-being and provide space and peace in everyday life?

The workshop is about how you, as a student, can use safe spaces to escape the pressure of performance, expectations and comparison. Safe spaces can be many things; contexts, communities and activities where there is room for reflection. It can be a place to meet people in different ways, talk about the difficult things in life and be inspired by each other. And it can be in a physical form as well, such as the Student Lounge and the Immersion Room here on campus.

Have you ever been part of a team where cultural differences led to miscommunication and misunderstandings? Have you ever been frustrated with your culturally diverse team because they don't contribute or simply don't seem to listen to you?

In this workshop you will gain insight into the general cultural differences that play a role in cross-cultural collaboration. You learn to understand your own cultural baggage, how to switch off your own cultural "lenses", and you get the tools you and your team need to improve your cross-cultural teamwork.
