Create the overall picture

AAU's framework for using generative AI is a layered regulation where the central rule is relatively open, namely that "generative AI as a general rule is allowed" while specific restrictions are local.

  1. The curriculums primarily stipulate the formal and long-term programme framework and often describe AI as academic content rather than as a detailed exam rule.
  2. The semester descriptions translate the rules into local project and exam practice and often distinguish between AI in the work process and AI in the exam.
  3. The module descriptions are typically the most accurate place for decisions on aids permitted for the individual exam.

It is worth noting that you will typically find the semester description in Moodle or on the degree programme's website. Ask your programme secretary if you are not sure where to find your semester description.

You get the complete picture by reading the general rules and checking the curriculum, semester description and module descriptions.
