Group work - an important part of your studies at AAU
This event is a continuation of Part 1 about how to manage group work at AAU. Part 1 took place at the International Welcome Day on 31 January. Even if you didn't join part 1, we do recommend you to join this event.
An important part of the PBL is the project work that is often carried out as group work. From former international students, we know that it might be difficult, especially if you are not used to group work.
Don't worry.
At this event you will learn tips and tricks on how to mange group work:
- what it requires from you
- what are the advantages
- how do you succeed in group work
- where to get counselling if needed
Feedback and discussions – part of group work, but how to?
There will be different opinions in your group, and you must be ready to compromise. Feedback and discussion will be necessary in this regard. Ultimately, this will increase both the quality of your product and the satisfaction of your group.
Knowing how to dicuss, get and give feedback and how to work together as a group is crucial to get a good study experience.
Lecturer at the event, Associate Professor Lise Schmidt Nielsen, will share tools, real-life examples of group related challenges and solutions.
The event will be a mix of plenum information and workshop discussion.
Danish food during the event
We will serve "Smørrebrød" during the event, a traditional Danish dish. "Smørrebrød" is a kind of open sandwich on rye bread with a selection of different fillings.
Remember to sign up
REGISTRATION REQUIRED due to limited seatings. But the event is free of charge.
