Study environment surveys
Systematic evaluations of the study environment
At AAU, we systematically collect knowledge about your and your fellow students' experience of the study environment. This happens via your evaluations of the semester, where, among other things, there are questions about the psychological/social, physical, aesthetic and digital study environment. The results of your evaluations are processed in the study board, and the information about potential for improvement is passed on to the relevant actors who have responsibility and the opportunity to act on it. By answering the evaluations, you therefore have a direct influence on how exactly your study environment can be strengthened.
Study environment reports
These are the same questions about the study environment that all AAU students (on the regular programmes) are asked in the evaluations of the semester. This means that in addition to the processing of the results in the various study boards, a report can also be made which can say something about your experiences and wishes for improvements to the study environment across campuses, faculties and the whole of AAU. (The reports are only available in Danish). The results in the overall report are processed by the Study Environment Council and the Strategic Council for Education.
The Danish Student Survey
In the Ministry of Higher Education and Science's study, the 'Danish Student Survey' there are also questions related to the study environment. The results from these studies are used by AAU as a supplement to our own study environment studies. It is therefore also very important that you answer these surveys, so that we achieve a high response rate and valid results that we can work from.
Eurostudent
'Eurostudent' is a European study that compares the framework for learning and well-being in higher education among students from Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The report focuses on the students' social and professional study conditions, and how the students thrive on the programme. The study deals with the following topics:
- Professional relations and contact with fellow students
- Assessment of the teachers
- Student efforts and professional expectations
- Affiliation and apostasy
- Mental problems among students
The purpose of the report is to compare data across the Nordic countries.
