System requirements when using Observer

What are the system requirements for my computer?

  • Your computer must meet the minimum requirements (see below)
  • You must install Observer on your computer – preferably a few days before the exam
  • You will need a PIN code for your exam:
    • The PIN code gives access to the exam in Digital Exam, including your assignment, Moodle Quiz link, etc., and allows you to submit your answer. The PIN code is provided by the invigilator in the exam room.
  • Observer must run on your computer throughout the entire exam. You can see that Observer is running when there is a red circle on the Observer icon at the bottom of your screen. Please note: Linux-users will not se the red circle but only a red border around the screen!
If you restart your computer, remember to restart Observer and activate screen recording again.
  • If you experience issues during the exam, contact an IT or invigilator staff member.
  • Information about permitted aids and exam rules is not included in this guide. These will be provided by your study secretary or instructor.
