Moodle Quiz Exams
There are specific requirements for exams using Moodle Quiz. It is therefore important that you read and follow the guidelines below.
Before Exam Day
- 1
You must have set up and activated MFA (multi-factor authentication) on your mobile phone. Make sure you have access to Moodle.
- 2
Read the exam regulations – especially the section on participation in on-site exams.
On Exam Day
- 1
Bring the mobile phone on which you installed the MFA app.
- 2
Once you have checked in and found your seat, log in to Moodle. Use your phone if necessary.
- 3
After logging in to Moodle, put your phone away. Follow the invigilator’s instructions.
- 4
Remember to start screen recording using Observer.
During the Exam
- 1
Once you have completed and submitted your Quiz in Moodle, you must also submit a dummy document in Digital Exam.
- The dummy document is required for the exam to be properly completed – you MUST submit something in Digital Exam.
- It can be a Word document stating: “student number” and “I have submitted in Moodle” – or any other placeholder text. There should be content in the document so it is not interpreted as a blank submission.
- DO NOT click “Submit blank,” as this will result in you not being assessed in Digital Exam.
Once Digital Exam has registered your submission, you may close Observer – you are now completely finished.
- 2
In very rare cases, you may be asked to log in with MFA again. This can happen if your computer crashes or there is a network outage during the exam. In such cases, call an invigilator and ask for permission to use your phone again. Follow the invigilator’s instructions.
