International Welcome Day at AAU CPH 2024

The International Welcome Day (IWD) is a special welcoming session for international students who are new to Denmark. It is mandatory for new international students to participate, as you will receive valuable information about being a new student at Aalborg University in Copenhagen. You will also have the chance to meet and greet all the other internationals across the study programmes. Additionally, the Study Start Day, that takes place on Monday 2 September is focused primarily on the study content and socializing with the classmates from your specific study program. You do not need to register in advance, just meet up at 11:00 where the IWD program starts.

Preliminary Program
11:00 – 11:05: Welcome speech by Campus Director Martin Vive Ivø.

11:05 – 11:25: Presentation by Professor Iva Ridjan Skov, Department of Planning. 

11:25 – 12:00: Arrival information and student services at AAU CPH
by the Study Service Team. 

12:00 – 12:30: Lunch break (refreshment and a vegetarian sandwich* included).

12:30 – 14:00: Navigating diverse environments, group work & Danish culture by Trent Coelli, founder of GLOCAL Consultancy.

14:00 – 15:30: Meet and Greet with coffee, tea and a selection of Danish cakes. Meet the student counsellor, international coordinator, career consultants, ITS services on campus, Innovation Hub, AMPED, Copenhagen Municipality Københavns Erhvervshus, Greater Copenhagen Career Program, YPD Copenhagen Capacity, International Citizens Day, and language teachers from UCplus. 

15:30: End of the International Welcome Day 2024

No. 2910238 /att.: The International Office would like to take pictures, make videos and record the sound of the atmosphere at the events during the Introduction program, Spring 2024 semester for communication, branding and marketing purposes which includes content/posts on AAU's social media accounts, on AAU's websites, information campaigns online and offline for AAU, advertisements for and articles about AAU in prints, posters, brochures/printed matter and digital media formats, and on online platform.
