"Folkeuniversitetet" brings the latest knowledge from the world of research and helps make it fun to learn more. As a student at AAU, you have free access to "Folkeuniversitetet", where you have the opportunity to explore your interests. Right now you can explore the many offers this spring.

With "Folkeuniversitetet" you have the opportunity to explore and delve into your interests, strengthen your basic knowledge or gain new insights into the world around you. As a student at AAU, you can participate in several inspiring courses and lectures for free by using AAU's agreement code for spring 2026: 39-459

At Folkeuniversitetet new research is brought to life through entertaining and inspiring mediation. You can hear about:  

  • Mord og mikroalger. Writer Sissel-Jo Gazan and Professor Nina Lundholm invites to a night of science fiction and algae research. Sissel-Jo Gazan brings together natural science and crime plots in an innovative way (Aalborg). 
  • Brain Food - når din mad styrker hjernen. A lecture, where the focus is on whether you can eat your way to more energy, better mood, less stress and better memory (Aalborg University in Copenhagen, Sydhavnen).  
  • Ro i sindet - Inspiration til mental sundhed. You will gain insight into how sleep, diet and exercise help to influence both mind and body and then be shown how you can take control yourself (Aalborg Øst).

How to get free access to Folkeuniversitetet:

    To get free access to the Folkeuniversitetet, on the left side of the top bar, select: Køb med aftalekode.

  2. 2

    After which you scroll down and select "the current agreement code" (Se aktuel aftalekode)

  3. 3

    You will then be taken to another website where you can scroll down and find the current agreement code (den aktuelle aftalekode)

  4. 4

    Then go back to Folkeuniversitet website and enter the code in this field.

Folkeuniversitetet (the Danish University Extension ) i Aalborg

Folkeuniversitetet has no permanent teachers, but uses lecturers who are employed at universities, higher education institutions, and others with first-hand knowledge of current topics. In Aalborg and the rest of North Jutland, the Folkeuniversitetet offers approximately 700 courses and lectures each year, which are attended by more than 26,000 participants.
