Come climate conscious to AAU

A new collaboration with Nordjyllands Trafikselskab and Nabogo paves the way for more opportunities for sustainable transport to campus.

The greenest transport is to go to work or to your studies, but for many this is not an option in everyday life. Next comes the bicycle, electric bike or electric scooter. But there are also other alternatives that provide the same comfort as a car seat, for those who want to be more climate-conscious in their everyday lives.

At AAU, we would like to help show the way for a green transition, and together with NT and Nabogo, we must find the solutions that ensure better and greener mobility for both employees and students at AAU.

Campus Service, in collaboration with NT and Nabogo, has tried to find solutions that can make daily transport to and from campus more sustainable. That is why, as something very special, NT gives 1 month's free Commuter Card to new customers, while nabogo offers free carpooling to travelers with an active Youth Card, Commuter Card or Travel Card with Commuter Combi.

If you don't already know about NT and Nabogo, you can read more about their products below.

Nordjyllands Trafikselskab

Perhaps you have already heard of Nordjylland's Trafikselskab (NT) - they are responsible for all bus and train traffic in North Jutland. But did you also know that they offer Flextur and Plustur? Flextur drives you from address to address, and Plustur drives you from address to the nearest stop and from there on by bus or train. Both Flextur and Plustur can be used by everyone.

NT offers products for every travel need, and right now you can take advantage of their attractive offer of 1 month's free Commuter Card if you are not yet a customer of NT.

If you want to order a 1-month free Commuter card or Travel card with Commuter combi, you can see how to do it at NordjyllandsTrafikselskab.dk/gratis

Nabogo

Nabogo is an app for local commuting in everyday life and a supplement to public transport. With Nabogo, you get fixed digital stops on the road, so you don't have to take detours. It costs 75 øre per km. to drive with – the money goes directly to you, the driver. No fees, no hidden surprises.

Nabogo collaborates with more than 30 municipalities to create more mobility from the countryside to the city and back again. Read more at www.nabogo.com.

VOI

Many students take the electric scooter to campus, which is why Campus Service has set up two parking racks in central locations in the university's area in Aalborg East.

Walk or bike

The entire campus in the east is laid out so that pedestrians and cyclists are prioritized centrally around the buildings. There are many kilometers of sidewalks and bike paths that make it easy to get around the campus. As a pedestrian or cyclist, you also have the opportunity to enjoy the recreational areas, which in recent years have been transformed into Vild Med Vilje areas, as well as a wonderful place to stay by the lake or the canals in the east. For those in Aalborg City, you are close to the water and the life of the city, and at AAU CPH you can also enjoy the water on a walk around the campus.
