"Buildtivity is a platform that streamlines the selection of building materials in the construction industry by more than 50% by providing architects and engineers with reliable and comparable material data, which is currently extremely time-consuming to obtain.

Today, architects and engineers manually review material data sheets to find the data that is part of the selection process. The data sheets are sourced from manufacturers, who are chosen in advance. This means that some manufacturers and materials are never considered in the decision-making process, even though they might be a better choice, for example, in terms of reducing CO2 emissions. In addition, the requirements for the amount of CO2 a building can emit are being tightened, and from 2025, there will be documentation requirements for the CO2 emissions of all buildings."

Buildtivity has been awarded the AAU Startup Grant, and the funds will be used for further development of the platform, participation in international trade fairs, and handling legal aspects.
