At AAU, students can visit one of the bars on Friday afternoon once the study week has ended. The student bars are run by volunteer student associations.

All Friday bars at AAU must be registered and approved by the university.

Friday bars must comply with current public sector requirements, including fire regulations. In addition, the university has rules for organising Friday bars on AAU premises. These are, for example, rules for the use of rooms including time periods, product range, and who can visit the bar.

There are student-run Friday bars at all AAU locations.

On the Esbjerg campus, students can visit the Friday bar, Smuthullet, and in Copenhagen the bar Slusen is open on Fridays.

In Aalborg there are several Friday bars, and there are two sets of regulations – one for the campus in the city centre and one for the campus in Aalborg East.
